Some people wait all year for Christmas…I wait for the Season Premiere of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’! And, it was well worth it..Here we go:
A very pregnant Kim Zolciak, (although she gave birth to a boy, in the summer) is planning on moving into her dream home, with fiance, Kroy Biermann. He is cute, but obviously younger, but hopefully not too inexperienced. Watch out Kroy…Kim is an ‘Old Schooler’..
One of the impressive things about Kim this season, is the make-over of her Assistant, Sweetie. You may remember Sweetie (who NeNe referred to as a ‘slave’, last season), as the loyal, yet verbally abused Assistant to Kim. This year, Sweetie is still loyal slave assistant, but with MAKE-UP!
Some of the ladies are exploring their Business skills: Kandi is starting a line of Sex-Toys (gross!), Phaedra is planning on opening a funeral home…OK? and, Cynthia has started the Bailey Agency, a modeling school for girls. Some of these ideas appear to cry for help to Bravo: PAY RAISE PLEASE!!
In respect to Kandi Burress, I was really pulling for her to restart her singing career. When she first came on the show, she was focused on that and raising her daughter, Riley. The sudden death of her ex-fiance AJ was a major blow, but the talented artist bounced back. Just not sure about the sex line idea. Will get back to you on that….
Cynthia Bailey was a newcomer last season, and really didn’t gel at first. But, when it was revealed that she may NOT walk down the aisle with her then fiance, Peter…Cynthia became a little more interesting. Oh, yeah, and she has a daughter with Actor, Leon. I know…Who cares? However, based on the previews of this season, Cynthia may have a little more juice in her storyline. There may be some issues between her husband and her sister. The sister was not supportive of the marriage, and that is never good.
Phaedra Parks seems to have risen above last years gossip surrounding her ‘ex-convict husband, Apollo and her baby’s due date. As an attorney, she seems to be the only one with a steady career. Also, the best wardrobe.
The highlight of the episode…NeNe and Sheree: The Fight! Please make note, of the new catch phrase: ‘I am VERY rich!’, NeNe Leakes. So much better, if you see for yourself:

BIG RICH TEXAS-Recap, ‘Season FInale’…They Are Just Getting Started!
I know…I know..It has been awhile! Now, here we are: The Season Finale of BIG RICH TEXAS!!! I can truly say..It was Big. And, apparently…very Rich!

We all knew there was a MAJOR feud, between Pam (‘Badass Boss Blonde) and Bonnie (‘Dr. Hottie’), but, NOW, that feud seems to include Leslie. It was clear a few weeks ago, that BBB wanted more details on the finances of Leslie (Beauty Queen/BQ). Not believing for one minute that BQ is a rich as she says she is, BBB started to do a little digging, and even asked Cute Connie to investigate her own cousin! Cute Connie agreed, so she must have been equally as curious about Leslie. We will have to wait until next season to find out what, if anything, Connie found on Leslie. But, what Connie DID find out, is that Leslie went on a date with Connie’s ex-husband, John. He also served as Leslie’s realtor. I called ‘FOUL’ on that weeks ago, but I don’t get involved in family business…
Whitney and Bonnie
On too the ’Joanie and Chachi’ (For you kids out there, ask your folks about ‘Happy Days’) of the show- Whitney and Tyler. Brace yourselves, folks. I think this love story has come to an end. Tyler decided to return to his home in Washington. Without Whitney. That made mom, Dr. Hottie very happy. Bonnie without Whitney is like a sundae without the cherry! And, honestly, Whit may need a little more ‘Gangsta’ in her guy. But, that is just my opinion. However, I am not sure that we have seen the last of Sweet Tyler.
But, we did see plenty of Melissa! Doing her thing, and reviving her modeling career. We were left wondering if Melissa will leave for a three week modeling gig. It is very hard for her to be away from her 15 year old, Maddie, but I am sure that Maddie will be just fine. She is every mother’s dream!

Now the DRAMA: As I mentioned earlier, Pam (BBB) has been digging into Leslie’s financial business. While attending Leslie’s housewarming party (By the way, that house is too dang BIG), Melissa stumbled on some interesting information: Leslie LEASED THE HOUSE!!! Uhhh…O.K…I guess, that’s bad, right? Well, according to Melissa, since Leslie told her she BOUGHT the house, Missy felt like it was valid to ‘BUST HER A**!’ So, who does Missy go tell? PAM, of course!
Melissa (to me at Bonnie’s Finale party): ‘Don’t lie to my F–king face!’ I will try to remember that, Missy.

Big Rich Texas, Episode Recap, 8/29/11 ‘Oh, No, She Did’nt!’

Sitting here, gazing out the window of my ‘Worldwide Headquarters’ (my condo in Uptown Dallas), I am still baffled. Actually, stunned is more like it. Last night’s episode reached almost every limit imaginable. And, at the end of almost every scene, I found myself saying (out loud) ‘No, she DID’NT!” Who, you ask? ALL OF THEM!
Last night’s episode should have been titled, ‘Who ‘gon check me, Boo?’, (courtesy of Sheree, Real Housewives of Atlanta) because every one of these chicks laid their cards on the table…But, which one was holding the Ace?
Let’s start with BQ ’Beauty Queen’ Leslie. They told her, ‘Country Club’ employees are NOT ALLOWED to date the members.’ And? So? Does that include the beautiful ones? Yes, BQ. I’m afraid it does. So, if you are ‘breaking the rules’, and you know you were girl, I suppose the only thing you can do is, break them BIG! How? Take your ‘illigetimate date’ to Pam’s house for a party!
’Boss Pam’ could not wait to call Leslie out for having the nerve to bring ‘The Help.’..And, no, not the movie! BQ, kept her cool ,and denied that she was on a ‘date’ with AJ who is employed at the club.But she did leave shortly after things got too personal. A subject, far more invasive than ‘who you’re dating’ came up and changed the evenings playful tone, The subject of: Leslie’s finances. Here we go again…The beige Ferrari.
A little back story: Leslie was a model in her teens. Made a lot of money. Bought a Beige Ferrari. Pam cried, ‘Bulls**t’, no such thing as a beige Ferrari.’ Leslie says she made alot of money, bought alot of properties, and lives pretty well.
Last night, Ignacio, Pam’s husband, joined the debate, I will refer to as: ‘LESLIEGATE’, by stating that she can not have multiple properties in different states, unless she had a network of over $ 100 million. Uhhh..Mr. Duarte, I don’t like to argue with good looking gentlemen, but she never said these were multi-million dollar townhouses. Maybe they are Section 8. Who knows?
Now, my Whit Whit made me proud…She wanted to STUDY! Take that you conservative, anti ‘c -word tatoo’, Haters! She is smart enough to know that if she wants to be a Doctor, then she must get excellent grades. Her mother, Dr. ‘Hottie’ Bonnie decided to take Whit to a place where all Scientists, develop most of their theories-a bar. However, this trip did include a lesson on Ethanol, that I found very informative. By the way, Hottie, that straight hair look works for you !
More on Leslie. As Connie’s cousin, I am not sure if dating her ex-husband is the right thing for Leslie to do. Sounds to ‘Jerry Springer’ like. Oh, that’s not bad..JERRY!JERRY!JERRY! It’s just on another network. But what do YOU THINK ? Take the poll:
Enter ‘Missy’ Melissa, yes, the Model. She tells the ladies about her diet, that includes gorging. What? I am not sure what all that entails, but it does not sound like something I want any of my sisters doing. Unless….are you trying to get booked on Celebrity Rehab after this? Eating disorders are making a comeback, in Reality T.V. What? I’m just saying….
On The Teen Scene
Grace. Your name says alot about you, my dear. When Zakk, who was on a date with Maddie, began to flirt with you it was the mature thing for you to ‘BUST HIS A**!’ That’s right, she told Maddie, and there is no doubt the friendship will last. But, Zakk…You are cute, sweetie, but I am not sure your ‘Player Card’ has been issued, just yet. However, I am following this developing story…
On to Kailyn…There was some major hostility towards Leslie in this episode. And, then, just before they rolled the credits-the doorbell rang. Who is it? Kailyn’s MOTHER! Leslie is saying ‘Shape up, or Ship out!’ Oh,snap!
Now, that was some dang drama…In fact, I am too nosey and impatient to wait until next week. I need to get Kailyn on the phone now, and grab a quick interview.
My next column may have to be ‘All About Kailyn’ …You deserve it.
Shhh…it’s ringing.
Big Rich Texas- Episode 5 Recap,’ Sugar and Spice’-Interview /Maddie Poe!

Sunday night’s episode should have been titled,’What’s The Matter With Kailyn?’ I have been pretty easy on the girls, because they are still young a growing, but Kailyn surprised me with the ’18 year old trapped in a 5 year old’s body’ stunt she pulled at the store. Leslie offered to take her shopping and buy her some clothes. That was nice. But, when Kailyn decided she wanted EVERYTHING she picked up…Honey, that was just whack! Considering some 18 YEAR OLDS WHO ARE NOT IN SCHOOL are working in the summer,Kailyn, you seemed highly ungrateful. Oh, that’s right, you are working, and getting a check for the show! Where was YOUR ATM card, Kailyn?
Leslie ‘BQ’, stand your ground. I have a feeling that many girls did not roll around in a Corvette, until AFTER they won the title, Miss America. And, speaking of BQ…What is gong on with you and Pam ??? Pam…What is going on with you and Leslie ??? Give me a call, and tell me about it. You know I’m interested.
And, then there is ‘hardworking Grace’. Anything she does, she does with heart, focus, and dedication. ANYTHING. Including, the complicated task of washing cars, with her Cheerleading squad. I have to admit, I never had that much team spirit. I preferred the ‘Every girl for herself’ world of Beauty Pageants. And, when Whitney (WhitWhit) pulled up in her big a** Hummer for a wash (side note: that car is TOO BIG FOR YOU), Grace remained a professional, and cheerfully washed the tank. I mean the car. And, Whit-the $100 tip you left was well-earned.
Now, what was really interesting, was what happened when Melissa (‘ Missy’) went on an audition. Apparently the other contenders were ALL PLUS SIZE women. Was she auditioning for a ‘plus size’ role ? Missy, being a ‘proud size 6′ , did NOT stick around to find out. Some say, she should have stayed and find out what the role was, before getting defensive and bailing. What do you think ?
I really can’t begin to tell you,how shocked I was when Whit threw that drink on Kailyn. I know you can’t see it, but I am shaking my finger at you,Whitney! It all started because Whitney and Tyler were ‘making out’ in front of Kailyn. We know (as well as Whitney) that Kailyn has a crush on Tyler. Yes, YOU DO, KAILYN! So, Kailyn told them to ‘get a room.’ That lead to the word ‘B**ch’ being thrown around, in addition to a glass of water which landed on Kailyn. During this scene, Leslie sat back and let Kailyn take her medicine for being such a brat he whole time. However, both Bonnie and Leslie know BY NOW, that you should never let your daughters ‘catfight’ in public. Sends the wrong message.
But, the girls did apologize to each other and hug. Hmmm…
I finally caught up with the sweet Maddie, who came in 2nd in the ‘Big Rich Texas Favorite Daughter poll’. Here is what she had to say:

1. You were on Divas and Daughters, and now this is your second Reality Show? How did you get into the Reality biz, and is this your future?
I was on Dallas Divas and Daughters but this is definitely not my future haha. I don’t plan on having cameras follow me around for the rest of my life.
2. How is Big Rich different from Divas, or is it?
BRT definitely has a lot more focus on the mothers than the daughters but it still is very similar because it shows all of the relationships between the mothers and their daughters. BRT also follows our lives around the country club.
3.Whitney says that you 2 are friends. Is that hard considering how your mom feels about Bonnie ?
I love Whitney and we are definitely friends. My mom has absolutely no problem with our friendship. Her and Bonnie don’t really get along but Whitney and I are both old enough where we can be friends regardless of our parents. I mean we can both drive so our parents don’t really have to be around each other too much.
4. What is your Major? Career plans?
I am currently studying Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Hopefully I’ll be able to pursue that and you may be watching me on your TV’s for even longer!
5. You said Debs are more selective and Pageant girls are ‘random shmucks’…Did you mean that?
The pageants that Kalyn does are definitely not as reputable as Miss Texas, Miss America, etc. The Debutante programs here in the Dallas AREA are definitely a little bit more exclusive than the pageants that Kalyn and Leslie do which have women ranging from age 5 to 55. Leslie thought that a Debutante Ball was just like a Pageant, which it definitely is not. That’s all I meant by that comment.
6. Are you close, or NOT close to any of the other girls?
I’m definitely the closest to Whitney but since my mom is friends with Connie and Melissa I know their daughters too. But, since I’ve been away at college it is a little hard to still be connected with all of them

I have a confession. When season 4 began, I made a solemn promise. This season, no matter what, I will FIND SOMETHING to like about Alex. Unfortunately, for the first time in my life….I failed. I know you are wondering, what it is exactly that I don’t like about her. Honestly, there are so many things I don’t like about this woman, I just don’t know where to begin. I thought about listing them alphabetically, but that would be mean. So, instead of saying,’ these are things I don’t like’, I will rephrase, ‘these are the things I wish she would change’..There that’s better. O.k, here is a list of suggestions for Alex:

I told you they would be back, bold, beautiful, and bitchin’ as ever…The Real Housewives of Atlanta are back on deck !! Nene and her new nose, Kim and her new wig (and, something else was new,but we will get back to that), Kandi has a new man (if you recall, her fiance AJ passed away last season), and Sheree wants to be an Actress…OK….The season premiere introduced the first of the 2 new housewives : Phaedra Parks…She is a far cry from the never ending boredom of Lisa Wu (Keith Sweat’s ex wife) and her ultra handsome hubby Ed..Phaedra is a successful attorney to the stars, very stylish, and smart…and, yes, she just married a man who spent six years in prison. Now, having said that, let me make it clear : I don’t care what you say, that lady is BOSS ! She knew what she was doing, and she did say that there was a PRENUP ! I just can’t be mad at her..Check out the video below, as Kim And Sheree find out about Phaedra’s hubby. But remember, ‘I ain’t mad at her !’

This season, Kim announced that she was Bisexual..last year she was a country singer, was gonna marry ‘Big Poppa the Billionaire’, claimed to have been victimized by NeNe/Lisa/Sheree/the pizza man, and everyone else in the ATL…, and the funny thing is, every time something happens to this female, she runs to OK ! Magazine or US Weekly, for counseling, I guess…Yet, she wonders why Sheree calls her a ‘media whore’…Now, those are Sheree’s words, not mine..wink..
As for Sheree, last year she wanted to be Vera Wang, and now she has aspirations of an Oscar…The award, not a man by that name….Well, let me say, SO DO I !!! Only difference is, I have studied,( and still am) gone on several auditions, done Theater, Television, and Film, and consider Acting my life long dream. But, the reality is, with the ‘fame’ she is getting from the show, who knows…The Wayans Brothers may call…I will keep my fingers crossed !
Nene…I have not forgotten about you…enough has been said about her nose, so I will leave that alone. I am more curious about how she can say that Phaedra is not fabulous, but, Kim and Sheree are ?! I think it sends a poor message on the climate in Atlanta, when a successful businesswoman (who is self made and not capitalizing off her husband), who is well mannered, gracious, and has a great sense of style is NOT considered fabulous, but the ex-wife of an NFL player who let her house get foreclosed, and a single mother who openly dates a married man in front of her children, relies on him for the sole support of her family, while ‘toying’ with a music career IS ?! Maybe we should re-examine that, later in the season.. But, I will say, that was TOO funny when NeNe went off on Dwight !! Not sure if I would have done that at someone else’s party, in a room full of people, but she had to get him…But, don’t forget about NeNe’s husband, Greg, I think he will have some explaining to do in the next few weeks…I am staying tuned for that ! And, Dwight, I never thought I would say this, but, QUIT LYING !!! You did NOT put $ 30,000 into Sheree’s fashion show, nor did u loan Greg $ 10,000 ! Come on Dwight, I am like Greg, now, “Do u have it ?’

On to DC….the entire Season Finale, dealt with the fake, phony, lying, party crashing, 1970′s limo riding, Michaele and Tareq Salahi…You know, the couple who crashed the White House State Dinner last November…Well, in the episode, Michaele is seen ‘looking’ for her invitation (she knew she didn’t have one) and Tareq informed her that she ‘did not need it.’ Now, I just can’t beat this horse anymore, because we know and they know what they did. But, it was the reaction from the other housewives (especially Cat) that really made it interesting. Stacy tried to be a friend, give them the benefit of the doubt, and a chance to explain, but they basically shut her down. Stacy you are a real friend for at least trying to get through to those grifters… I just can’t wait until the reunion, so they can be put on FULL BLAST, and watch them squirm….

As you may know by now, Bravo began a new franchise, with the ‘Real Housewives of DC’..I have to admit that I was very skeptical at first, but I may be in for a surprise. At first glance, how exciting can like in DC really be ? Aside from the politics. But, leave it to the folks at Bravo to find five feisty, smart, successful women, who don’t mind an occasionally cat fight around the nations’ capitol.
So, enter- Lynda, Michaele, Cat, Mary, and Stacie…Now, there has been ALOT of publicity around Michaele (she and her husband CRASHED a White House dinner, and she later rubbed Whoopi the wrong way on ‘The View’), and honestly, I see why. This lady lives for ATTENTION ! The problem is, she comes across as not knowing what she is talking about, and on the last episode, she ‘hosted’ a party for her friend, and then had her lawyer inform the friend that she would NOT be responsible for paying for the event…Now, that’s tacky.

I think the real asset and heart of the show is, realtor, Stacie Scott Turner. She is the only Black female in the cast, has an MBA from Harvard, nice husband, 2 kids, etc…The really interesting thing about Stacie, is the current journey she is on to find her birth parents. She was adopted at 6 months of age and recently located her birth mother…The twist- according to reports, Stacie’s birth mother is white. After growing up thinking she has one heritage, this came as a surprise….we should stay tuned on this.
The rest of the ladies are a combination of- Money, Power, More Money, More Power…, you know, the usual.

Ok..let’s get one thing straight- I LOVE TERESA !!! Yes, she is $ 11 MILLION dollars in debt, but according to Teresa, ‘blame it on the economy’ she likes nice things ! But, seriously, her lifestyle was VERY over the top and she did indulge her kids, beyond reason…But, she’s still got it going on ! She keeps it real, her wardrobe is fabulous, her kids are happy and well taken care of, and as far as her debt goes….I am not her creditor…in case you missed it, this is what put her on the map…(click link)

Now, this is where the action REALLY is ! Those ‘southern belles with balls’ are back for Round…I mean, Season 3 in the ATL ! NeNe and Greg are having serious marriage problems….could it be because he is broke ? Sheree wants to be an actress and win an Oscar, Kim is….Kim, Kandi is recovering from the murder of her ex-fiance, new girl Cynthia is still a little mystery…All we know is that she is a model and single mom. But, one original housewife was axed from this season. No more Lisa and her hunky husband, Ed. Can’t say that I will really miss them….I mean Ed was hot !! But, I think Lisa was a little on the phony side…Oh, well, out with old and in with Phaedra ! Now, this lady is sure to bring some scrutiny…She is a successful lawyer, married to a younger man, who happens to have served time in PRISON ! According to Phaedra, ‘He is no different from Martha Stewart. It was a white collar crime.’ I sense, DRAAAAAAMA !! Let’s watch the clip of this coming season :
